  14. My husband had to have a heart transplant and was lucky enough to receive a heart this past year. Right before he went in and received the heart our Pomeranian had to be put down because of kidney disease. We thought it best that he go through the healing process before we get another Pomeranian. He is at a point in his recuperation that we are ready to get one. He has had a very hard recuperation but feel he is at a point to get a dog. Our last 2 dogs were poms and would like to have a โ€œsmallโ€ Pom.
